Citrix Product Portfolio Doubles in One Year to Better Address New Markets and Customer Segments
ORLANDO, Fla. –(Business Wire)– Citrix Product Portfolio Doubles in One Year to Better Address New Markets and Customer Segments
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the successful completion of its largest annual global partner and sales conference to date. More than 1,600 partner executives and 1,000 sales professionals attended the combined Citrix Solutions Summit™ and Global Sales Summit. During his keynote presentation Citrix President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Templeton, detailed how Citrix continues to target the best market-access infrastructure, deliver the best products, and work with the best partners.
Citrix provides a great market for its partners to be in by delivering the industry's most comprehensive product portfolio that targets the expanding access infrastructure market. Already a $15.5 billion market in 2004 and expected to increase to $21.6 billion by 2007, access infrastructure is providing tremendous growth prospects for Citrix partners. During his opening keynote address, CEO Mark Templeton outlined how partners can leverage Citrix access infrastructure solutions to seize revenue growth opportunities. These opportunities were further highlighted when Templeton contrasted access infrastructure market growth rate of 12 percent with the five percent growth rate of general IT spending and the six percent growth rate of application software.
Citrix continues to expand its product portfolio, delivering the best products to address customers' access needs. On stage at the three-day conference, Citrix demonstrated a wide range of exciting products including offerings from two Citrix divisions, Citrix Online and Citrix Gateways. During the conference, Templeton detailed how Citrix's product portfolio, now at 10 offerings, has increased rapidly from only five products a year ago. According to Templeton, the rapid growth in the product portfolio has come from acquisitions as well as from organic growth.
Citrix says this expanded product portfolio in a robust market means the company's ability to provide customer value and growth for its partners' business is at an all-time high. This point was reinforced when Citrix executives pointed to a recent report from the CIO Insight editorial staff that ranked Citrix sixth out of more than 1,050 vendors in terms of customer value delivered. The 2004 Vendor Value Survey measured how U.S. and Canadian IT executives generally perceived the value of their vendors' products, services and support.
During his keynote, Templeton highlighted a number of key focus areas in which the company continues to innovate, including SmoothRoaming, SmartAccess and Secure by Design, some of the core capabilities that Citrix access infrastructure provides to meet access requirements of the on-demand enterprise. These capabilities were first outlined by Templeton at Citrix iForum™ Global 2004 last October.
"We bring value to the channel by articulating a compelling vision around access and by generating demand in the fast-growing and highly dynamic access infrastructure market," said Templeton. "Toward that end, we have invested heavily in our products and in re-branding efforts over the course of the past year to provide the foundation for future growth and create an unrivaled end-to-end access infrastructure system that converges voice, data and applications."
Also during Solutions Summit, Citrix Senior Vice President of Marketing, Tony Marzulli, reviewed upcoming innovations expected in future versions of the Citrix®MetaFrame®Access Suite. Citrix Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services, John Burris, discussed how existing and new partner promotions and programs have been designed to help drive growth and increase partner profits, proving that Citrix's business is the best business they can be in. Murli Thirumale, president of the Citrix Gateways Division, gave an on-stage demonstration of the now available Citrix Access Gateway, an SSL VPN which delivers the easiest installation, best user experience, and works across all applications providing access to data and voice. In addition, Brett Caine, president of the Citrix Online Division, shared the latest promotions for GoToMeeting™ and GoToAssist™, and discussed new capabilities, such as Instant Collaboration and On-Demand Assistance that help complete an end-to-end access infrastructure solution for Citrix customers around the world.
During the conference Citrix also outlined its continued support for its channel partners, and Templeton reiterated, "We want to be the best business for our partners." Other speakers outlined the company's focus on its business partner ecosystem and detailed the partner programs such as Citrix Advisor Rewards which helps partners drive sales and profitability. To date, Citrix Advisor Rewards, which was introduced at last year's Solutions Summit, has paid out approximately $10 million and delivered considerable additional discounts on products to reward value selling by partners.
Citrix also announced at the conference a new go-to-market agreement with SAP to deliver a joint business management solution to the small and mid-size markets, promotions for Citrix Online GoToMeeting and GoToAssist as well as a promotion for the Citrix Access Gateway.
