Citrix GoToMeeting Is a Finalist for Best Communication or Collaboration Solution and Citrix GoToMyPC for Best Mobile Product or Service
Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), has been named a finalist by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) for two Codie Awards in the best communication or collaboration category for Citrix® GoToMeeting™ and the best mobile product or service category for Citrix® GoToMyPC® remote access.
"The 20th annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content and education technology industries from hundreds of nominees," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement for Citrix Online and its market leading solutions, Citrix GoToMeeting and GoToMyPC."
The Codie Awards - the only peer-reviewed awards program of its kind - have remained the leading honor for the software and information industry's finest products and services. Judges include representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, analysts, consultants and subject-matter experts.
B2B Analysts, Inc. www.b2banalysts.com, was one such firm that reviewed products for the collaboration software services category, which include Citrix GoToMeeting. In their Codie Awards analysis of several web conferencing solutions, David N. Dobrin, president and founder at B2B Analysts, reports: "We were looking for products that anybody, experienced or not, could use easily and without training. One criteria for naming finalists was that the product had to be one that we ourselves would want to use again if we had the need. Only one Web conferencing vendor met that simple criterion: Citrix GoToMeeting. It was easy, straightforward and simple."
"Recognition from industry experts speaks to our unwavering commitment to our high standards of usability and reliability for individual professionals and small-to-medium sized businesses," said Brett Caine, president of Citrix Online. "This honor is a testament to our success in delivering what our customers really want: fast, easy and secure managed desktop solutions for greater efficiency, productivity and ROI every day. And it's particularly gratifying to be in the finals in the collaboration solutions category alongside WebEx, after being launched just six months ago."
Winners will be announced on May 25th at the Codie Awards Gala at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, CA. Listing of all finalists can be found at http://www.siia.net/codies/2005/finalists.asp.
