nCircle Announces Web Seminar Series on the Next Generation of Vulnerability Management

Industry experts will participate in the seminars, discussing vulnerability management systems and how they measure, manage and reduce network risk, ensure business continuity, and drive regulatory compliance.
Launching the series on January 25th is a seminar entitled "Security Risk Management in the Enterprise." Keynote speaker Melody Pereira, CISSP, CISM, CISA, vice-president, Information Security at First Republic Bank, will discuss how the bank has integrated vulnerability management into its overall security risk management program. The session will also cover recent vulnerability management trends in the enterprise, and how Global 1000 customers are using nCircle's IP360 Vulnerability Management System to measure, manage and reduce their network risk.
During the February 8th seminar, entitled "nCircle IP360: The Next Generation of Vulnerability Management," participants will learn about nCircle IP360's unique profiling methodology. This process enables enterprises to continuously profile their network, and reduce risk associated with existing vulnerabilities, applications and operating systems.
On February 23rd, the Webcast will focus on "Security Best Practices and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance." During this session, Chris Amos, IT director at Centillium Communications, will discuss how Centillium is using nCircle's Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Solution to measure and manage ongoing compliance efforts.
Munawar Hossain from Cisco will deliver the keynote at the March 15th seminar, entitled "nCircle IDS nTellect: Delivering the Promise of Intrusion Detection." During this seminar, Mr. Hossain and nCircle will provide insight into how false alerts can be reduced by 90 per cent. Participants will learn how vulnerability information can be correlated with Cisco IDS alerts to identify real threats against truly vulnerable targets, reducing the occurrence of false alerts.
Regulatory compliance continues to be a top business issue, and on March 22nd the Web seminar will feature "Internal Security Compliance and Best Practices." In this session, Randy Shostak, CISSP, director of professional services, nCircle will discuss how to measure, manage and improve internal security compliance. The discussion will outline how to streamline compliance processes, and highlight effective compliance strategies such as baselining and trending.
