Mathias Schilling is a co-founder and Partner at BV Capital. He leads the US office and focuses on consumer media and wireless services. He represents BV Capital on the board of Angieslist, Appfolio, publicly traded Hi-Media (HIMD.PA), Peerflix, Sonim Technologies, Vuze.com and Yume Networks and led investments in epinions (Shopping.com), experteer and Sonos.
Prior to BV Capital, he was a Partner at Bertelsmann Ventures, where he was a board member of several portfolio companies and contributed to the successful exits of eGroups, Nuvomedia and Expertcity. Previously, Mathias was with Bertelsmann AG in their Strategic New Ventures group, working on the negotiation and execution of several joint-venture and M&A transactions. Previous work experience also include Bertelsmann's Publishing Group in New York as well as the management consultancy firm Roland Berger & Partner in Paris.
He received his Master's degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
